Al Jazeera Is Putting Australian and the West Media to Shame.
Al Jazeera Helps Free Tunisia and Egypt from Despots.
Al Jazeera is one of the few places that it is possible to get real news about the Middle East as a wave of revolution sweeps the region, says Asem Judeh, Israeli Terrorism Monitor founder. He says Al Jazeera's commitment to truth helped the Egyptian and Tunisian people remove their corrupt leaders. The same thing is happening in Libya. "Al Qaddafi rebels targeted Al Jazeera crews in Bangazi and killed AlJazeeara photographer Ali Al Jaber for reporting the truth and the ‘news as it happened’." Judeh says the media organisation is attacked from all sides, a sign of its fundamental truthfulness. For example, theformer Israel ambassador to Cairo, Zvi Masel, described Al Jazeera as "the enemy". On the other side, Arabs have claimed Al Jazeera serves Zionist interests. "Interestingly all crippling regimes (Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Yemen and Algeria) have attacked Al Jazeera for reporting the truth," says Judeh. "Exactly as George W. Bush junior and his administration did during his illegal invasion of Iraq in 2003, which resulted in the bombing of an Al Jazeera office in Baghdad and the killing of Al Jazeera reporter Tareq Ayyoub. Al Jazeera has changed the Western media game and lifted the veil on many lies. For many years, the Western media covered up Israel's crimes against humanity, and showed Israel as a victim. "How long will it take for news editors in Australia and the West to realise
that they cannot lie on the public any more?" asks Judeh. "It seems to us that
they don’t know the power of the current revolutionary technology (internet,
face book and twitter). They cannot lie to all the people all the time."
