ملخص أحداث الثورة السورية

Clarity & Confusion!
As Bashar is set to speak, protesters could not be any more indifferent. Unless
he plans to offer his immediate resignation, nothing Bashar can say will
alleviate the pent-up anger of the Syrian people, and his speech will more
likely exacerbate it.
The Syrian army storms the border village surrounds of Bdama in an attempt to
cut off flow of refugees into Turkey. Still, the number of Syrian refugees in
Turkey exceeds 10,000, and Turkish authorities reportedly undertake on Sunday
their first humanitarian relief mission inside Syrian territories.
Calls for general strike are heeded in several cities and suburbs, with more
calls being now made for boycotting the businesses of Assad loyalists
Speaking about organized resistance in general without making the distinction
made above is quite dangerous:
1) it supports official propaganda about armed groups and lends some legitimacy
to their crackdown,
2) it ignores the fact that this resistance was the product not the cause of
the violent crackdown, and
3) it overstates the nature and capabilities of the “resistance,” making many
think of the current situation in Syria as a conflict between equals rather
than cold-blooded massacres on the hand, occasionally meeting with some
improvised and often individual acts of self-defense and reprisals on the
other.
We cannot afford blurring the dividing line between the Assads and their thugs
on the one hand, and the peaceful protesters on the other, lest we become party
to the crimes perpetrated by the Assads. For this, let’s avoid the temptation
of projecting potential future scenarios on the present, lest they become
self-fulfilling prophecies, especially when these scenarios represent the worst
possible outcome.
يلقي بشّار الأسد كلمة ظهر الاثنين يتناول فيها الأوضاع الراهنة في سورية، وذلك
في وقت شددت فيه قوات الجيش حصارها للبلدات الحدودية لمنع تدفق اللاجئين إلى
تركيا. كما أكد المستشار السياسي للرئيس التركي أرشاد هرمزلو أن بلاده تنتظر خطاب
الرئيس السوري بشار الأسد، مشددا على أن أمام النظام في دمشق أسبوعاً لوقف نزف
الدماء وأنه لا يمكن تقديم أي غطاء للقيادة السورية بعد ذلك
وهذا هو الخطاب الثالث الذي يلقيه الأسد منذ بدأ الثورة التي اندلعت في منتصف شهر
آذار/مارس الماضي. والخبراء يرون أنه من غير الممكن استمرار الوضع الراهن طويلا
فإما أن تهدأ الاضطرابات أو أن تنفجر الدولة أو يحصل انقلاب، وأن معالجة الوضع
على أساس بؤر تحاصرها قوات الأمن وتقمعها سيجعل النظام يفقد السيطرة تدريجيا على
الأرض
ويخلص الخبراء إلى أنه حتى لو تم قمع التظاهرات فلن يخرج بشار الأسد منتصراً لأن
سورية ستعاني عزلة دولية
حصار البلدات الحدودية
حاصر الجيش السوري بلدة بداما القريبة من الحدود السورية التركية وعزلها، وذلك في
إطار عملية اقتحام واسعة النطاق ينفذها الجيش السوري للمناطق الحدودية مع تركيا.
وقتلت أكثر من مائة وثلاثين شخصا واعتقلت أكثر من ألفين في جسر الشغور والقرى
المحيطة بها خلال الأيام القليلة الماضية. وامتدت العملية العسكرية يوم الأحد إلى
بلدة الريحان المحاذية للحدود مع تركيا التي تعتبر مع بداما المنفذ الرئيسي
لتوفير الطعام والإمدادات لآلاف السوريين الذين فروا من العنف بمناطق المواجهات
ولاذوا مؤقتا بالحقول على الجانب السوري من الحدود. واعتقلت القوات السورية نحو
مائة شخص من سكان البلدتين محاولة إغلاق الطريق نحو الحدود التركية بنقاط تفتيش
أمنية لمنع السكان من النزوح. وطوق الجيش بلدة الحمبوشية المهجورة التي تبعد بضعة
كيلومترات عن مخيمات اللاجئين، وهناك قلق من مهاجمة الآلاف من اللاجئين الذين
ينتظرون على الحدود للدخول إلى الأراضي التركية
وكانت القوات السورية ومسلحين موالين للنظام اقتحموا بلدة بداما يوم السبت
وأحرقوا منازل واعتقلوا العشرات. وكمثال أحرقت القوات السورية المخبز الرئيسي في
بداما وأطلقت النار على مالكه الذي أصيب في معدته وهو الآن يعالج في تركيا
من جانبه دعا الشيخ "محمد علي الصابوني" رئيس اتحاد العلماء السوريين، الشباب
السوريين إلى الخروج في جمعة الخلاص في مظاهرات تطالب برحيل نظام الأسد
عشرة آلاف لاجئ سوري
تخطى عدد السوريين الذين وصلوا إلى تركيا هربًا من الاضطرابات التي تشهدها
بلادهم 10 آلاف لاجئ، وذكرت وكالة أنباء الأناضول أن عدد السوريين الذين وصلوا
إلى تركيا عبر بلدة يايدالاغ في إقليم هاتاي بجنوب البلاد بلغ 10533 لاجئا. ويتم
نقل اللاجئين السوريين إلى أربعة مخيمات مؤقتة أقامها الهلال الأحمر التركي في
بلدتي ألتينوزو ويايلاداغ بإقليم هاتاي في جنوب تركيا. يشار إلى أن من بين
اللاجئين إلى تركيا 2583 رجلاً و2639 امرأة و5331 طفلا
